Privacy Policy
Effective May 10, 2026
This is what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We try to keep this short and honest.
What we collect
- Email — to sign you in and send important account messages.
- Phone number — to send SMS check-ins, but only if you opted in.
- Profile — things you tell us, like your age range, gender, timezone, and check-in preferences.
- Sessions — when a session ends, we save a short, encrypted summary of what you worked on and delete the raw conversation.
- Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We don’t store your card number.
We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
SMS specifically
We only use your phone number to send check-ins you opted into. We do not sell or share your phone number with anyone for marketing. Opt out anytime by replying STOP to a check-in, or by removing your number in Account Settings.
Who handles your data
We use a small set of trusted providers to run Inkling. None of them sell your data.
- Stripe — payments and billing.
- Twilio — sending and receiving SMS.
- Supabase — encrypted database and authentication.
- Vercel — hosting and AI infrastructure.
Data security
Session content is encrypted at rest. All traffic uses TLS. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously.
Your rights
- Delete — delete your account and all associated data anytime from Account Settings.
Children
Inkling is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used Inkling, contact us and we’ll remove the data.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll change the effective date above.
